FSPK: Pioneer TS-P682

Just one question, why are you leaning towards Pioneer?

thats great if it fits the budget and the pioneer cd players are really good, but speaker and sub wise-there are a hell of a lot better brands

if i were you i would ditch the pioneer p682s and just go with the 6865s in all four doors. i think you will like the way they work with your hu better. this is pretty much what i have but i have the older hu, the p4000. i have had the hu and the speakers for 2-3 years now and they have been great. for the subs and amp i would have to say no to the pioneer subs and the infinity amp. infinity amps well they kind of suck. in your price range you could probably find some good mtx or rockfos subs, and go with maybe a us acoustics or maybe even a profile amp if you want alot of bang for not much buck. thats just me speaking from experience with pioneer and such

go to ubid.com and get some quality rfosgate components (the top of the line ones) for the front, a pair of 3 way rf 6x9's and a rf 12" sub. You can get all these speakers for about 250-300 new w/warranty. then go to crutchfield and get a kenwood excelon x617 hu for $275. oh, and you can get a killer 800w 5ch mtx amp at ubid for about 200. that total comes to about $775. this is my system (see sig) and i think it was a great deal. it is crisp, clean and clear. performs well for the money i paid.

As far as subs go that are cheap the JL audio 12WO-4's are the best sounding subs for the price. They pound. Ive got the 10's and I love em. And I like to pound. Theyre clean and sound absolutely incredible. Im thinking of upgrading to the 12's. As far as amps go, I know a guy whos pushin 2 12" WO-4 JL subs with a Rockford Fosgate 120.2 given a 2 ohm load and his car rocks hard. Just a thought. Remember, you dont have to go with a lot of power on your subs to get em to sound killer.

Why the big push for Fosgate? I personally don't like them. Get what fits your budget. I for one use Autotek. The components set I have sound great. Better the the Boston Accoustics that I have heard and almost as good as the Mb Quarts. I also use Autotek 12 subs. Going to Ubid is a good idea though. I bought both my subs and my components from them totalling, including shipping, $200. Just watch the auctions for a while before you bid. That way you will know what they usually go for. Don't spend more on the auction then you can get the same product in the store.....it happens all the time on there. Have fun and enjoy!

Rockford is a good push. They have the best low end punch. I have a rockford 600a4 that powers my pioneer 6200 and infinity kappa's and a 800a2 that powers my Polk dual 12".

Plus someone mention ubid they are good for picking up your audio stuff you have to keep an eye out for it but they have some really good deals on rockford and pioneer stuff. Got my head unit and amps from ubid. And saved hundreds doing it that way.

Pioneer make good head units they put out the bes RMS if you not hooking up to a amp. The 6200 is the best because you get the three preouts. IF your going with subs thats the way to go.
