Hi, I am getting ready to bleed brakes on my Contour. Never done it before, but read lots of stuff and feel pretty confident that i can do it. What you guys recommend to use considering I'll be doing it myself with no one to help. Speed bleeds http://www.speedbleeder.com/feature.htmor This thing http://www.motiveproducts.com/As far as fluid goes - i plan on using Valvoline SynPower

Either one will work just fine. The speed bleeders are probably faster, but they stay with the car. The bleeding system can be used on other cars.
Personally, at home, I use a MityVac hand held vacuum pump. If you don't intend to bleed brakes on very many different cars then use the speed bleeders or MityVac.
I use Valvoline Synpower in my car too. Good stuff.

For the speed bleeders, I only see Contours listed for '95-'97, but I don't see any cars newer than '97 listed on their parts list. Is it safe to assume that all years that the Contour was made have the same size bleed screws? Yes, I'm interested in buying these now, too, so the information would be helpful. Thanks!

call them up, they have all the right info. When you order, tell them you're from CEG, and you get 10% off. There was an old group-buy posting about this that you should be able to search for.
contours, deloreans & fiats, oh my!
