What Carpepoon did is what most makers do. I have a Sony (12")and a KLH(10") sub and both are just car subs with amps in a box. They sound great, I have the 10" in the back and the 12" in the front, it's pretty mean sounding. Depending on how god you can make the box it would be worth it with a good amp.
