HEHE, I guess I could reveal the secret weapon of my home theater set up. I custom built a home subwoofer box around a 12" MTX sub. Powered it with a 250watt sub amp from partsexpress, yes the cool one with remote control for the gain and crossover controls. This thing is amazing, When I had it in the basement back home it would shake the floor of the second story. I tested it at a local shop and it out performed or matched the subs costing $400+
Heres some pics, Sorry this was the first thing I ever used veneer on since I am so used to carpeting car boxes and I didn't do that great of job. I plan on re-doing it in the future. It was sound I was after initially Its so awesome to watch Gone in 60 seconds and feel the sound of the GT500 Eleanor beating on your chest. To give you guys an idea of size thats a 5" port on the sub and a 36" TV in the background.
Look familiar?
