You can expect the insurance company to be less than cooperative if you intend to get the car's actual market value for it. If you did not have collision, and another person is at fault, you can almost forget about seeing any money come back. I am in litigation with another person's insurance company because they are refusing to pay for my car which was destroyed by their insured. Ah, the joys of Florida's No fault insurance laws and my decision to not have collision on the Saturn at the time.
