So after replacing my lower intake manifold and IMRC cable I did notice a crisper punch at higher rpms but something still isnt right, and I just cant nail it on the head. The only thing I can think of is that they didnt put a svt tranny in my car when ford replaced my tranny?? would that make my car slower just puttin in a regular MTX 75 or are they the same gearing "surely not". Well all this depression came to me at Houston raceway park where I was stoked that I had just replaced my LIM and IMRC and it would run so much better, 16.3 wtf I ran 15.4 before the tranny and everything else, oh and I also had my cats replaced..... riddle me this what the hell is goin on... what else could rob me of this power.. precats.....tranny... im stumped????

The gearing in all V6 MTX-75s is the same. AFAIK, there is no such thing as an SVT tranny.

Did they replace the flywheel by chance? IIRC, the SVT unit is a lot lighter than the stock flywheel. Not sure about the rest of the tranny though?? When you replaced the LIM, I'm assuming you used an SVT LIM which has bigger runners than stock LIMs. The port matching and alignment of all the intake plumbing can make a significant difference on how the engine runs. Our intake is pretty convoluted so any little kinks or bumps in the air flow can make a big difference. Try pulling it back apart and double check that every part matches up as perfectly as possible. Also double check the throttle linkage is opening the throttle all the way and that the TPS sensor is rotated through the full range. (It can be rocked back a couple of degrees to maximize the apparent throttle shaft travel.) Is the IMRC operating both sets of secondary valves correctly? Loosing a second wouldn't be fun.

No falling back a second sucks svt azz, and im sure everything is correctly aligned in the intake, and yes I replaced it with a sp motorsports intake I had to swith my fuel rail on it because it came with like 98 returless style fuel rail, but its a 00 manifold one of those ones they messed up on or whatever, but anyways secondaries are working and all. :-( could this be an 02 sensor problem ?? Do the O2 sensors use shielded wires on our cars?

Too confusing!

You need to give a complete list of fixes and mods, plus their order and effect on performance.

Anything left unsaid (MAF, # injectors...) will change things.

Why exactly did you replace your late model SVT LIM with annother late model SVT LIM that had the early fuel rails?

I'm still suspicious of the flywheel when the tranny was replaced.
