Just wondering if anyone can help with this. My car - '97 LX V6 ATX makes a "clunk" noise when shifting to DRIVE. I've had friends look at the motor when I do this and they say the motor tilts back quite a bit also. There is no noise when I turn the wheel either way and accelerate so I don't think it's a CV joint. Does this seem like a broken engine mount symptom? Which mount would it be? Is it hard to replace? I also get a vibration after throttling heavily between 50-75MPH. Could this be caused by the engine mount? Thanks in advance to anyone who replies,
