Where do I run the power cable through the firewall? Do I need to drill a hole?

well i dont know about your car but on my contour on the right side behind the brake fluid and all that down under there there is a small little tear shaped plug. Its about 1 inch by 2 inches, and if you pull it off and kind of poke through the material it comes out right under the dash behind the brake pedal and near the fuse panel. Then from there you can just run it under the side panel to the trunk or wherever. This is just what i did on my car i am not sure if it would be the same for yours.

or you could take off your windshield wipers and the black cover, once you do that, you will see a black rectangle on the right, poke through that and presto theres your hole

If you have cruise control, kind of behind and underneath it there is access to a grommett. You have to unbolt the control unit to get to it. I have 4awg running through it.

I also used the hole behind the CC unit.

On my SVT there is a gromet on the drivers side, its round and sorta near the top of the firewall right in front of the steering wheel, if you poke through that you gotta go through another part of the firewall then you have to poke through some insulation into the floor, youll come out above the pedals, stick a thick hanger through there then look under for your hanger. I managed to fish 2 gauge wire through there perfectly.
