Where is the Fuel filter on the Ztec (1995). I want to replace it. How often should this be replaced? mine has 140,000 Km.

Look under the car, just in front of the rear wheel on the passenger side. Costs less than $10 and can be changed with a screwdriver. Use may want something to catch about a cup of gas that will spill out when you disconnect the hoses.

What he said. What I recommend is this:
The new fuel filter will have two rubber seals protecting the ends where the fuel line will connect. When you pull the plastic clips off of the old filter and remove the fuel lines, put the rubber seals from the new filter on the old filter to minimize fuel spillage from the old filter. You will still see some fuel loss from the lines. Be sure to have a cup of some sort in place to catch the fuel.
Also, don't forget to relieve the fuel pressure by removing the #9 fuse from the power distribution box under the hood and letting the engine run until it dies out. Easy Peasy!

Great idea! This will make it even easier to re-use the filter gas in the mower...

I just changed the filter in 20 min flat..Great!!! I was unable to pull out fuse#9, however, only about 300ml of fuel drained out.

Thanks for the suggestions.
