A good chunk of truck buyers could care less if people like their rides, they are meant for purely utility for pretty high percentage of buyers.

true, but for me its both...i imagine there will be a lot of fleet buyers out there though...thats pretty cheap when you need a work truck, and they give discounts if you buy more than 1 or 2 at a time.

the truck i priced out was a 4.6l stx 4x4 with the flairside bed, regular cab, cd player and tow package.. total was somewhere around 25, invoice was 22k

The new truck is a pig. I wouldn't want it w/o the 5.4L.
You cannot get a V6 or manual trans in the new body style yet. Heritage only. so, base price includes 4.6L auto.
My 99 F-150 at 69k miles when I sold it had zero squeaks/rattles when I sold it. That is better than I cna say about my 00 SVT Contour brand new. Ford puts money into the trucks vs. their cars, even specialty. There is a reason why the F-Series is the sales leader.
$1000 owner loyalty rebate right now if you own a 97-03 F-Series. Don't haveto trade it in, just prove you or a family member owns one. Offer not valid on Supercrews.
