Think about this... There is a company that can push 200hp out of a Zetec SAFELY local to me.... THen you drop a turbo on it to knock at least 300 if not Terry's kit to hit 325hp.

So therefore the twin turbo Duratec should hit higher... I mean stop me if im wrong, but It should be higher than 310... maybe thats just super down-tuned?

I would imagine that Noble is using two turbos to try to achieve as smooth of a buildup as they can by staging the boost while still putting out a fairly high HP number. 310 hp is plenty for a 980kg car. The M12 is basically a race car, so the smoother the better. I know Tom's 400+whp Focus spins the tires trough the first three gears and even taking it fairly easy on the gas it has traction problems when the boost comes on. In a mid engine vehicle braking the tires loose unintentionally like that would be a disaster. You may be able to counter the spin but there goes your lap. I would call it intelligently tuned. Having each turbo do less work, and a lower overall number will result in better reliability and I imagine help in overall handling. It could also have something to do with race categories they wanted the car to be in. Having 400+hp might put them up into much higher insurance rates as well.

Then again, I may be talking out my ass, I'm no enginner afterall
