I'm pretty sure they switched to a 3.0L (w/ TT still) making a little more power.

Think about this... There is a company that can push 200hp out of a Zetec SAFELY local to me.... THen you drop a turbo on it to knock at least 300 if not Terry's kit to hit 325hp.
So therefore the twin turbo Duratec should hit higher... I mean stop me if im wrong, but It should be higher than 310... maybe thats just super down-tuned?
I would imagine that Noble is using two turbos to try to achieve as smooth of a buildup as they can by staging the boost while still putting out a fairly high HP number. 310 hp is plenty for a 980kg car. The M12 is basically a race car, so the smoother the better. I know Tom's 400+whp Focus spins the tires trough the first three gears and even taking it fairly easy on the gas it has traction problems when the boost comes on. In a mid engine vehicle braking the tires loose unintentionally like that would be a disaster. You may be able to counter the spin but there goes your lap. I would call it intelligently tuned. Having each turbo do less work, and a lower overall number will result in better reliability and I imagine help in overall handling. It could also have something to do with race categories they wanted the car to be in. Having 400+hp might put them up into much higher insurance rates as well.
Then again, I may be talking out my ass, I'm no enginner afterall

Any engine will make more (or equally as much) power with a single turbo...The benefits of twin turbos come from being able to use smaller turbos for quicker spoolup( and pimp factor ) .

as much as i LOVE the s4 and want one badly, i think the noble will put a good hurt on an s4. of course i love sport sedans so i'd have to get an s4 then the noble to add to the stable. i think top gear had the noble in #3 for track time. the new lambo was 1 or 2 and i dont remember the other car. they keep a running cound of like the top 10 track times for the sick cars they test. damn, reading and typing this makes me wanna see that vid. lemme go pull my topgear vids cd.

Theres absoloutly no comparsion to an S4. The noble is made completly of a carbon fiber type material. The material is supposedly better than the carbon and easier to work with but more expensive. Expect to see a more beefed up Noble or at least a version to come out later on
