You just graduated UTI huh? That's actually pretty cool, I've been contemplating a career change and being a porche tech intrigues me. I can't sit in a cubicle for the rest of my life, just ain't me. UTI is a good school. I know two people who have graduated from there. One being my brother, He now works for the city of bloomington fixing all the city vehicles. He specialized in diesel mechanics. He loves his job and makes a good living. The other is my friend Al. He graduated top of his class UTI and now works for Mercedes. He makes alot of loot and gets to drive all the sweet mercedes. The only bad part is he has to be on call sometimes. but he gets to drive the mercedes suv's when he is.

Granted the Contour isn't a fast car from the factory.
Its a heavier, non turbo car, 4 door.
Comparing the SRT-4 and Contour is stupid,
Two different categories of cars.
Its like comparing the SRT-4 to a Cobra.
For a fairer comparison,
Compare the SRT-4 to a Focus.
Closer in weight.
Then slap a basic turbo setup on a the Focus and guess what,
they run similiar times.
I'm not hating on the SRT-4, infact, I like the fact an American car is doing so well in the sport compact market.

Oh man ......a SRT-4 Neon is a fast Neon and a Contour is...well...  I still love my Contour...even if it's slow. BTW UTI - Un Trained Idiots.

maybe it was the driver but on the interstate one couldn't keep up with me the other day. not saying that i blew him away, just saying that i was in front and never saw his tail lights for about 7-8 miles on I-95

Never saw his taillights ? So you were behind him for 7 to 8 miles or he was racing you in reverse ? BTW, keep in mind that some people generally let off if they get a bad start on a race (i.e. wrong gear, gear miss, etc). Fly-by's don't count as wins. Also, the new 04 Neon SXT's look a lot like the SRT-4's. You sure you weren't racing them ?

With a good driver, a stock '03 SRT-4 will run 13.9 to 14.2. The '04 models has some of the stage 1 stuff already installed and a LSD standard. They seem to be running 13.5's stock so far with a good driver.
