i raced one at the track the other night. i beat him cause he got a horrible launch but i still crossed first and thats no bullsh*t. we run about .3-.5 slower on the track out here because its not that good quality...but i ran a 14.9 and he ran a 14.7. his best run that night was a 14.4 which is about right with that track. thats with a junk tranny and no tune for my 3L+mods. i got his ass here in a couple months

Thank you very much for pointing that out because I just went to track this weekend.. Pulled a new best 12.92@105.14 with a 1.7860ft on DR's @LVMS. And this is also at 3800ft not sea level I am just to lazy to drive all the way down to Cali to see a .30 improvement. Your right probably only 10 or so are probably FI'd. But some could have a unit on it. Obviously the subject has been driven into the ground, so I guess we can leave it at that. And if you would like to line up the truck against the neon we could arrange that, maybe I could hook up a rope to the neon and get you a better time. But I am not liable if I pull that thing in half AHHHHH I love the smell of napalm in the morning!!!

this is ridiculous. we're talking about completely different cars and trucks and dump trucks. what you're after, essentially, is power to weight ratio. So why would you not care how much his truck weighed, despite twice the HP? You're proud of your SRT-4 and he's proud of his Lightning. Honestly, I think the SRT-4s are horrid looking, but I'm not too fond of the big truck either. If all you're after is a faster 1/4 mile time, money will get you there. There is always someone faster out there, that's the way it is. I think there are too many egomaniacs out there, and this proves it. But whoever said the Neon SXT is "zippier" than a CSVT is a nut basket. Maybe the engine sounds zippier as it maxes out to hang with a Civic.

Good improvement, but with 525 TQ and a auto tranny, what's wrong? 525 TQ should pull your moms trailer down the quarter mile.......

You still gotta be kidding yourself man.... It felt zippier? Wow you must have had some vertigo when you road in that sucker. Don't get me wrong, cool little cars. I woulda considered one, but with the srt the sxt is no longer the big dog. Anyways, maybe you drove some [censored] csvt, because the sxt is a dog in comparison.

The SXT was never the "big dog". The R/T has been around for years, and the ACR was there once upon a time too. The SXT was just some lame package name with a few gimics Dodge uesd to try to sell their cars. The SXT package is also on the Dakota and maybe the Intrepid and I think there was another one, but maybe not.
