Oh yea I've raced one at the track. He CREAMED me, and my car is one of the faster ones on the board with a 2.5L. I ran a 15.1 to his 14.1 Needless to say he as stock!

When I dyno'd I only pulled 190FWHP and 191FWTQ

Those numbers are not very impressive due to some very much needed tuning... I am still yet to do any tuning or computer/chip work so I hope to be around 200-205 with a little tuning... Then I'll make that guy work for a win

Found this dyno:

http://www.dynoperformance.com/search_details.php?ID=525

Only 3k miles on the engine, minimal mods and a dyno proven 233hp/264tq. It's spooled up with 250 ft/lbs at 2500 rpm.

Good luck

The 3L torque curve is much broader. THis could be a benefit if you use it right. My 3L produced over 215 wHP, now its not as high as the SRT-4's average 225HP, but the curve is much broader. If I had worked to open up the intake(I ran a stock chopped filter box with a drop in K&N ) more and ran true-duals it would have been a 220's car!
There is still the factor of weight, but a good driver could've used my car to scare the piss out of an SRT-4.
I won't get into all the modifications thing or ATL-SRT will come in the night and snatch me up!
Modified they must be a Holy Terror. Of course, so is a modified turbo 3L!

Yeah slap a turbo on either a stock SVT or a 3L and youve got some competition.

15psi they don't boost that High stock do they?? I have seen a slue of them at the LVMS run low 14's. Even though they do make good power put a turbo on a CSVT and it would be a killer. Even if it was ran at about 10psi with a good tune it should have a much broader tq curve and much more cleaner hp curve than SRT4. Also one thing to keep in mind is the CSVT revs 1k higher than the SRT4. In a turbo application that means a world of difference.

you guys all make good points, but lets start talking modded srt-4s to modded svt's then we'll see what happens. On a side note, I pulled my best time last night of 13.9, wohoo!!! I killed WR99SVT a couple times too in his new lightning, but he killed me back so we're even....
