I didnt know where else to pt my amp so it would be out of the way. Is this a good spot,,,or is it gonna be in the way later. Has anybody done it(im sure they have). Any feed back would be great.

Personally I would build a simple amp rack and mount it under the rear deck. Be sure to leave enough room for it to breathe! That way it would be out of sight and if you needed to transport something long it wouldn't be in the way. It would look cleaner to boot.

im going to mount my two there. I don't have the room to build a shelf ( 2 amps = too big!) and I don't want a big clunky rack in the back. I'll probably make some sort of wood cover should I need to haul big stuff.

Mine are there also, but opposite side. A pic:

And where does your wiring go after it goes into the back of the seat?

I have my amps under my front seats Not only does it give me lots of trunk space but it makes the amps hard to rip off without seriously damaging them.

Couple problems, since that amp should be fairly big. What model PG amp are you running? I ask because the only 800W PG amps I can think of off the top of my head are the OctaneR and Titanium series, which are huge. The Titanium 400.2 might fit, but it's a 400W amp.

PG models work as follows:

number of channels/total watts

So a Titanium 400.2 would be a 2 channel amp sending a maximum 400W to all 4 channels combined (200Wx2), not 800W. A 4300XS would be sending 300W total to all 4 channels, or around 75Wx4. My QX2180 is sending 180W to both channels, or 90x2. I'm not trying to make you feel dumb or anything with this, alot of people I know don't know what thier equipment puts out. Hell alot of people working in audio shops would tell you what I said is a lie just to get you to buy stuff.

I couldn't put my QX2180 under the seat because people's feet were hitting it when I had back seat passengers. I was afraid I was going to end up with a busted amp. That was a 180W PG amp, the smallest PG makes. I'd imagine an 800W PG amp like the OctaneR or Titanium amps would be simply too large to put there in the first place, nevermind being able to cool them properly. My cousin owns an XS 4300 and it's as big as my V12 MRV-T757.

In any case, I'd start looking for a spot for it in the trunk if I were you Once people start kicking that amp with thier mucky shoes it will take a beating. Better to have it out of the way in the trunk with the golf clubs and cleats

ever have a passenger spill a full cup of tea in the back seat on the floor under the front passenger seat.

I am just happy I did not mount my amp under the front passenger seat!!
