I am just happy I did not mount my amp under the front passenger seat!!
Can't say I have but one time, at tea time, when my friends and I were enjoying some tea and crumpets at 90 mph, i got some crumbs in between the leather shifter boot and the console. Thats a pain to clean that area out! I'm just glad my amp wasn't installed there.

I hear you Dave. One time the Duke of Elsintonston... stindleton... and myself, The Honk of Tonkeymonk were having a jest of a time in the old Focus, and one of the fools in the rear compartment doth dropped a truffle onto the carpet. Needless to say I was aghast and demanded that he remedy his inapropriate behavior!!! I say, I was quite unimpressed to say the least!

And where does your wiring go after it goes into the back of the seat?
Well, as you can see the speaker wires and the RCA cables arent hidden yet. But the rest of the wiring runs behind the fabric down to the bottom of the seat, and then under the carpet up to the front dash, where it is connected to the Head unit. Made it look extremely clean. Now I have to run the RCA under there to. Just havent made it a point to actuall doing it yet. I'm a slacker.

I have a MTX Thunder 421D Mounted in the same location. However, I did go a step further and removed the entire back seat and I removed the fabric and I drilled holes in alignment with the connects on the amplifier and I ran the cables under the metal back plate of the seat and the only thing you see is the amp, and about 2 inches of the wire coming from beneath the seat in a nice little "L" shape into the amp. Looks so very nice and I have absolutely no worries about the wires touching or looking messy. The speaker wire comes out at the very bottom and secretly connects to my speaker box in the trunk. Looks very simple and clean. Just thought I'd share my setup with you. It is not too hard to do.
**By the way, having the amp there serves some good purpose. When you have the seat down to let the bass through, if you let down your windows, or at least the back window, that amp gets all the cooling it will need. I noticed that my amp ran very efficient and cool. Plus it looks nice going down the road.
