it really depends on the sound you're looking for! Get together with some local guys (have a meet) and listen to their cars...
personally, I liked my Edelbrock 5503 resonator... louder than stock, but not annoying (read: minimal drone)
I kept the stock mufflers since they flow decently... replacing the resonator definitely gives you more 'headroom' in the middle/upper range so - find a sound you like and go for it!!
