Well if the pipe is 3 inches in diameter, and the Pro M is 2.95 inches (75mm's), then I don't see how it creates a restriction....
P.S Chris, why didn't you keep the Pro M on your SVT?

how bad would it be if i had this setup:
80mm cobra MAF to cta intake pipe to 75mm tb to SVT UIM/LIM on an all-out 3L

The CTA pipe is wider and smoother than the stock bellows, but I think I am loosing whatever gain that might be giving me with the pipe size difference.
Can you post a picture? When we had our intake pipe mated with a Pro-Flo 75mm bullet on my SVT, the transition, though different pipe sizes, was negligable. In fact, due to the overall length of the combination, the MAF was pushed as close to the intake pipe as possible leaving virtually no distance between the two parts.
Chris, I will try and post a picture tomorrow. I showed it to a friend (a mechanic) who also thought it looked like a restriction.

After 3 recalibrations, and no power gain on the dyno, the Pro-m went bye bye. It really sucked from the get go and never gained any power over the stock MAF. It may be an isolated case, but it didn't do squat for my SVT. The Pro M actually lost power. On the last calibration, I even sent my own filter adapter and filter for Pro Flow to do a proper calibration. Didn't do diddly.

Folks. A TB Does Not get larger when you optimize it.
A 60mm TB is still a 60mm TB after it has been optimized.
~Russell~
A 75mm TB!!! WHY???
That's serious overkill. IMO even a 70mm TB is really overkill for any Duratec.
Yes the forced induction folks can get by with a larger TB because their air is being forced through it, not drawn through it.

It was not broke; Yet I fixed it anyway.

warmonger said when his 3L was N/A he had a 70mm and he didnt lose any power
forget the 75mm TB, i said that cause i seen a cheap price on it, but since found a 70mm for the same price

ok heres a shot down the air intake track, from the start of the MAF (filter side). You might have to copy and paste this link, my hosting isnt so hot. http://www24.brinkster.com/ezerner/pictures/75mmMAFtoCTA.jpgEven though the picture seems to soften to effect, you should be able to see the problem. PS Chris, do you guys have replacement parts for the rubber hose sections? I managed to tear my blue one between the CTA and the TB when I was moving things around just now

The transition appears to be marginal (the thickness of the pipe). What I mean to say is that if you feel that it is going to be an issue, then one item you may consider is to radius the inside of inlet of the intake pipe to create a smoother transition.
Lastly, we do carry replacement couplings. Email me your shipping information (and phone number) and I'll do up a price quote for you.

Try this shot instead, the top is really worse than the bottom. Copy/paste http://www24.brinkster.com/ezerner/pictures/75mmMAFtoCTA2.jpgI can try widening the pipe and making the transition more of a point by chiseling the inside of the pipe, but I was hoping for a more effective way because the materail the intake pipe is made of doesnt seem very conducive to making modifications to it. send you an email chris
