You may re-think your thoughts of the automatic climate control..give it a full test, SOON. My girlfriend had it in her 96 Sable and it was alright, but my dad's had problems w/ his in his 2000 Taurus trying to "find where it wants to go", i.e., bouncing from norm. to max a/c back and forth. It's probably just his, but you never know...all I can say is that he's more happy with the ECC in his 86 Turbo Coupe than his Taurus.
Good luck with the new car and welcome to the 3.0 club!
yeh i work 12-hr days now so by the evening im too burnt to do much so i fell asleep last nite before i could do much research on exactly which version i have...i do know that some had the dual exhaust which produced 200hp advertised, which was reduced to ~195 with the single exhaust but i dont know when that took place
and i knew i'd have a 3.0 duratec one way or the other...ford is trying to ream me for engine repairs to my contour. yesterday i went by shoshop ready to bite the bullet and have them install the 3.0...total price of conversion flattened me (i was only going to save maybe $500 from what dion paid to have alot more work done on his svt)...they at least know now that the 3.0 DOES work with the atx, but beware...the price listed on the site is ONLY for the engine itself...labor is almost double...others prolly know that but i didnt
suspension is decent but definitely needs upgrading...i pretty much plan to continue modding this car is the way i started modding the tour...better wheels/tires, upgraded suspension and brakes, better air filter (keeping stock airbox this time i think) and better exhaust...with the right work this car can surprise alot of stuff...kinda like a bigger tour

99 expedition eddie bauer, 5.4 v8, k&n drop-in, 3" magnaflow catback and gas mileage that makes the contour look like a hybrid
