You must've got an early 99 then. They went to 16" wheels and a single exhaust sometime in the middle of 99.
You may re-think your thoughts of the automatic climate control..give it a full test, SOON. My girlfriend had it in her 96 Sable and it was alright, but my dad's had problems w/ his in his 2000 Taurus trying to "find where it wants to go", i.e., bouncing from norm. to max a/c back and forth. It's probably just his, but you never know...all I can say is that he's more happy with the ECC in his 86 Turbo Coupe than his Taurus.
