Ok the first time I blew my engine it made this rapid ticking noise above 4k coming from the right side of the engine. Luckily I still had a warranty and ford replaced it! Now my warranty is up and have 8k on this new engine and it started making that noise agaian. What the hell is it? I need to fix it before I blow this engine too. any advise?

If it's less than a year old with only 8k it should still be under warranty. Ford dealerships warranty all their work for a full year or 12k.

Wow, Are you heavily modded or something, mabey n2o? Blowing a engine with only 8k on it means something wasn't put together right or you drive like a maniac or even not doing proper maintenance. But hey check the warranty, blow it up and get a new one

nope I change the oil every 3k. i drive it i never push her too hard, and the only mods i have is bassani, kkm, bat inlet, pro flow 75 mm. When ford replaced the engine they said it had no warranty on the engine!

wow...must be bad luck or bad gas or something, you ever get a wideband A/F reading on the car? What exactly blew on the last engine?

"BSoneMega" may be on to something with the bad gas causing ping. He is also right that knowing what went Kafloooeey on the last engine would be usefull. Can you give a better description of the symptoms/circumstances and the noise itself? Tick, knock etc. can be a little vague. Does the noise vary with RPM etc.
FWIW, I know the very early Duratecs (Mine Included!)had a problem with the rod bolts not being torqued to spec and many went to the great bone yard in the sky! (Actualy went back to Ford for tear down and "failure evaluation".  That got some bad press 'cause it happened to either Car & Driver or Road & Track during a road test for a feature article back in 95!
Was the replacement engine truly new, or was it a remanufactured motor? I believe they are done in two different facilities.

I'd be seeing a lawyer if the new engine was not covered and it went at only 8k. You using 6 qts. of 5w-30?

Welp they looked at it today and said I spun a rod bearing! I am not dealing with this, within 31K blew one engine now this. I am getting rid of her. I am looking into an acura rsx-s or svt focus! I love the svt alot but im fed up! what do u guys think?

by the way yes I am using 6 quarts everytime. my last engine they said my #1 and #3 cylinder was scored bad and the crack was damaged beyond repair.
