Here is a diagram of the D.I.S. that is used in the DuraTec ignition system. Note that one side actually must fire in the reverse direction. That is why the unusual requirement of two platinum firing tips.. one on the center electroid and one on the outer electroid. I have only found the two companies, Autolite and Motorcraft that have this option.
