Better yet, Zippy -- Dump the wine-cooler into your gas tank. Doing that will get you a lot more mileage than you'll ever get by posting dumb-ass responses.

i did my oil today and when i checked it in the morning it was at teh minumom mark. whan i did the change like a month and a half ago it was at the full mark. my car only has 50,000 miles on it and it doesnt even smoek or anything. so im guessing its just evaporated oil goign through the pcv as usual. and normal oil break down. plus a lot is in the filter when i do the change.

Well, at least we agree on some things -- I'm just as baffled as you are about the car that's supposedly losing up to 5 qts of oil per week.

Mine has lost over a qt every 4000 miles since it was in the 30K mile range... the correlation? The switch to Mobil 1. I went back to Castrol GTX in the 60K range to check, and sure enough, no oil loss. Once back to Mobil 1, I noticed it again.
I figure it was going through the PCV system. Should be less now that I have a separator/restriction in the system.

And then, again, Lance, maybe the Castrol has volatilized, gotten a bit gunky, and replugged all the little leak-points where the synth -- because of its resistance to volatilization -- did not and should not.
Over the course of 4000 mi, my car loses about as much synth oil as yours did. But, because I prefer to keep my cars for a long time, I'd much rather trade-off minor oil loss for superior wear-reduction in the powertrain.
PS: Please cash my damn check. You're messing-up my accounting.
