Whoa, I was extremely nervous I thought my hands were going to slip off the steering wheel and the shifter! I have alot to learn thats for sure. This was the first time but it was so much fun I think I am going back friday. I ran three times, I'll break it down. This was done at the GreatLakes dragway "DaGrove" in Wisconsin. run 1: R/T 1.228 60' 3.573 330 8.159 1/8 11.520 mph 74.39 1000 14.318 1/4 16.639 mph 96.81 run 2: r/t 1.345 60' 2.640 330 6.817 1/8 9.977 mph 78.58 1000 12.648 1/4 14.887 mph 100.24 run 3: r/t 1.466 60' 2.572 330 6.669 1/8 9.844 mph 77.84 1000 12.536 1/4 14.800 mph 98.60 Some mentionables, A wrx and a srt-4 where running, I never saw them get into the 14's all night. I guess those drivers needed to get practice like myself. One good one was a jetta 2.0T with only intake and chip running 14.5's @95-96 all night on drag radials. One run I beat my brothers 6 speed z-28 and he said he could hear my supercharger whining behind him all the way down the track until I passed him and beet him by .4 seconds and 8mph. hehe that was the most fun I've had in a while.

oh man those 60 foots are terrible, but for your first time you hit the 14's which is something most of us will never do in our tours.get those 60 foots down and you can easily hit low 14's. with that trap and awesome traction maybe a high 13

well those 60's times need some work...practice launching and I think you have at least a low 14 on your hands. How much boost are you running? any dyno numbers? is it a 2.5 or 3.0l?
I dont think you could take any kinda of newer z-28, we must be talking pre 93 z-28?

It was my brothers 96 z28 6-speed his best time was 14.3 which I wouldn't have beat but when I ran him he ran a 15.1 at 92mph. The mods to my tour are as listed:
duratec 2.5L vortech supercharger FULL custoum exaust custoum S.F. chip 30# injectors quaife LSD in HMS rebuilt trans zetec final drive focus shift tower SAFC II DMD short throw shifter autometer gauges and whatever else I cant remember.
The last time I dyno'd I hit 273.9 fwhp and 217 fwtq. This was running extremely lean peaking above 18:1 between 4-5krpm and the rest about 15:1. I need tuned but I have to figure out my problem before I tune it.

I only went there because my brother was taking a auto trans class for work in Milwaukee and he wanted me to run with him. I thought it was pretty cool though.
Edit: I have a dyno if anyone can host it for me.

Not bad on the last two runs, but I'm wondering why the trapp speeds had such a high variation. They should have all been within a MPH of each other unless you missed a shift or something. That's pretty good though. Just for the record, I turned 14.86@96MPH last December with just my 3.0 N/A. That was my best run N/A. I think with a 100MPH trapp speed you can do much better, like others have said around a 14 sec flat.

I think the traps were varying because I wasn't sure where the end of the track was until my third run. I let off before the end the first two times. The last run I shifted into 4th and the runs before I don't think I did. When I get more practice I am sure my times will be better. Also I need to tune my car because it had more power with only the supercharger and not the exaust or the chip or anything. So something is wrong with the car. I'm going to fix it this winter when I have somemoney to put in it as well as time when the car will just sit. I might even find a 3L block to play with.

It's cool that you enjoyed yourself and want to go back. Once you get your car tuned, you should really be moving.
