Mecklenburg county is where Charlotte is and yes they do have emmission tests. They are probably the most strict in the state. I live here and have heard they will be making some more laws in years to come that might not be good for us enthusiasts. The reason is that Charlotte has one of the highest pollution ratings in the country-don't ask which pollutant that would be.
