This would be a good good idea.

If the throttle body itself is sticking, cleaning it (preferably off the vehicle) is the way to go.

If the cable is hanging up replace it. There is no dependable way to lubricate the cable. There was a recall issue with throttle cables but I believe it was just on 95's
