My contour's gas pedle sometimes get really sticky. A few times, after waiting at the red light, I had car behind honking at me because I couldn't get the gas peddle to go down. Pretty embarrasing!

It's only sticky at the totally "up" position. When it's stuck, I had to tab it a couple times to get it moving again. Once it's pressed down a little bit, it operates smoothly through out the full range of the pedal travel.

I figure some kind of lubrication is in order. The question is WHERE. The pedal itself? Or the throttle linkage under the hood? Anything in between?

And, what kind of lube?
