I'm actually new here so I don't know if anyone has already vrought this up... but would it be possible to put the entire 4 wheel drive system from a Jag X-type in to a contour?

Anything can be done with time, money and resources...and that swap will take a whole lot of each, probably more than most of us have (except maybe cartman). All told, you're actually better off just buying the X-Type and driving the piss out of it.

Welcome to the CEG, by the way!

I just had one of those thoughts of wouldn't it be cool if... yeah and it probably would take alot of money and time.. both of which I don't have much of since I'm in the middle of restoring a Lotus... The contour I have is a '95 with everything you can have as an option on it except the auto trans... ;-) I actually picked it up not too long ago from a friend of mine and I'm actually quite impressed with its performence..

Welcome Aboard.

You'll find tons of useful information here, so search around.

What model do you have, and what engine?
