That sub sounds just like what I was looking for. It was really cheap too. Oh well...

Here goes nothing....
The design i am thinking of would be an isobaric 4th order bandpass system using two tens and a passive radiator rather than a port. A table saw will help tremendously!!
i'll post a pic in a few minutes. Hmmmm.... Why the passive radiator instead of a port? Are you thinking of a pair of 10s mounted in "free air" style to a tuned box with the passive radiator firing into the cab (with the box mounted like I described???????

Oh, I see.
That does look interesting. Any ideas on the drivers and passive radiator?

I would go with the passive radiator because you tune them by adding mass to get to the desired freq. If you were to use a port to tune it, it would be close to a meter long and wouldn't work in this box. See the picture above and if you can't figure out the alignment i'll try to explain how it works. It should give you a freq response of 30-113 hz +/- 3dB and reach 112 dB before cabin gain. With the cabin gain mid to hi 120s should be well within reach. That is assuming you have 250 watts on tap.

The drivers would be Credence 10" subs from parts express. I believe credence builds RF subs but I could be mistaken on that one. The are just under $40 a piece. You can get the PR from www.Stryke.com (pre-tuned) for 60.00. For 140.00 I think it would be hard to beat. If you get a chance, get some measurements for maximum width and depth (front to rear of package tray) and I'll let you know how deep it would turn out. I can also send you a more accurate drawing when i get the dimensions. One thing, you would probably have one of the more unique subs around.

Let me take some measurements and see what I've got to work with.
Unique is right.

PE has Credence woofers? never thought about that. Credence makes great drivers. Not RF's though (RF does produce there own woofers in house) but many top name car audio companies are made by Credence. You'd be suprised Passive radiators are great for small applications like these. Once tuned right it will sound great.

And yes, the did a buy out of some credence drivers and put a new dust cap on them to avoid advertising issues.
