I have had to change my CV's recently because the car would shake on acceleration. The right "U joint" (for lack of better description) was shot, and replacing them both fixed the shake. The best way to describe the busted axle was if you held it like this ----joint----- you could move the joing like this ____joint----- ------joint_____ up and down like that (best way I can describe it)
Well, now the shake is comming back like it did the first time, starting out small and getting worse. I dont do stupid things to my axles and trannie, like burnouts, race launching, etc only thing I do is accelerate hard once im moving. It does not shake when I let off the throttle and coast. The shake is most pronounced in a low RPM, high gear setting (say 30mph in 5th gear) or on a comfortable acceleration, getting onto the highway. Is there a reason that my CV's should have gone bad so soon? They are the OEM replacements from NAPA (lifetime replacement warranty) Thanks, Nick
