I think I just might have the answer to all our problems!!

Have the Tour' at the Strip, 'Parked of Course,' wife driving it, while I/You come pulling in with your fully built, auctioned off, Nissan 240, Turboed to the beat of 400-500+hp and spending less than 10G's car and all. While you're at it there's a Drift session goins on and Solo Action as well down the road let's hit that up to.......Aint it beautiful

In all seriousNESS, we could tie it to the back of a 8 second Honda and be the First, IMPODomestic Tour' to clock such insane numbers....

the only reason there are hondas that fast is because there are ricers out there with more money than brains and will put well over 20Gs into the engine

Then why is it, a lot of CEG'ers give contour ricers da Boot!? I'd rather see an ugly ricer contour with a 20K engine than and ugly ricer with a zetec all done out to 137HP. Seriously, it's hard even to be ricey with a contour, we have no "good" rice body kits. Seems we have to adapt from other cars for use on our cars. So the likelyhood of a mega-horsepower zetec with some 100 spokes and metallic puke orange and suede roof is un-likely.

There is a ricer body kit in the GB section. I promise you, I'll have the ricest highest HP contour one day. I've pretty much already worked out the ricey part.

I agree with you ATX situation. for street driving, a MTX is great....but for more consistant times at the track, a ATX is always reconmned. Honestly, if my SVT was being built a purely a drag car for for drag comps, and i had the power,I would opt for putting a ATX level 10 (for starters) for more consistant times.

But since im doing Auto x and road corse events, MTX is well more suted for control of speed and RPMs for me...

Over all i second the ATX for drag cars.

One problem.... we will most likely not get there with the CD4E. That is unless something happens in the near future. Ford just signed back on for the CD4E to be made until 2010, so something has to be up their sleeve!

One point was made awhile back by bnoon, I think, that an F/I ATX would be really nice since there would be no lose of boost between shifts.

*NOTE* The CD4E is limited to 200 ftlbs of torque *NOTE*

Hince the whole problem to our situation.

so why do the top fuel drag cars have a 3rd pedal in them?

and a shifter too

2003 Subaru WRX some mods Even if you don't have the answer, you certainly have to admire the problem. aka ZetecRacing
