I knew it woul happen eventually... The OBX shifter purchased through the group buy here finally broke. Luckily I wasn't too far from home and was able to limp home in 4th gear.
Anyone had any luck with OBX and warranty replacements? Serves me right for cheapin' out and not buying the B&M.
Cheers

It's funny how I've seemed to always like the stock one and the great thing, 'It doesn't Break!'

I tend to agree with you but going back to the stock shifter feels like driving a tractor. I'm sure I'll get used to it again. Cheers

yeah, you won't get it replaced. trust me, you won't. the best thing you can do is try to have the ball welded back on at a local machine shop or if you know how to do it yourself.
mine broke and i called/emailed OBX a dozen times until they told me to deal with the people i bought it from and they would replace it. then those people told me OBX would have to deal with it. so i called OBX in Cali back and was told that "it was my fault for being a dumbass and buying stuff off the internet" right before they hung up the phone. God help them if i ever make my way to SoCal

Weld it, I welded mine and I have no worries. I haven't even used mine yet, but I know Stazi welded his and he's doesn't have any problems with his OBX. They barely welded the lower ball on that's why it breaks off. Just weld it back on and it's all good. Oh by the way you'll need a TIG welder to do it....I'd be willing to fix it for you but then if for some unforseeable reason it would break(which I highly doubt) I'd be a dick for not fixing it properly. Otherwise take it to a job shop/ fab shop. They should be able to weld it in about 5 mins and it'll be better then new!!!

Why would it break in the first place unless it was a cheap shifter?
And why would you want that cheap POS on your car if you knew it could break? What are the advantages? What if it broke in the middle of a race? Then that would prove that having a 'better' shifter wouldn't make your car any faster. And if it broke in the middle of a race for money, then that would prove that it wasn't an investment for you.
For this reason, I'd honestly recommend going back to stock one. You could probably modify it to gain better feel if that's what you want

Here's why because 80$ + 10$ (cost of welding) is still less than 150$!! I broke 2 got one replaced under warranty and welded the other. It's better now than it was before.
