Yea not as much fun. I had back seat qual when I was in VFA-94 we had the lot 12 c's, but my ride was in a VFA-125 C that was confugured as a trainer. I'm an AT (aviation electronic tech) I like my job and now with Super Hornets it's still fun. The 414 is a more powerful engine that the 404 but the 414 gives the AD's fits with the stress cracks in the engines. But hay they fly and work good. At least they don't drip as much as the 404's did.
Over all they are alot better with some new systems and they are up more than down. The supers hold more internal gas and the drop tanks are bigger, and don't forget the capabilities for carreing the refueling pod is great.
