Today, I looked at a 98 Silver Frost/midnight blue CSVT with 122k and e1 SVT rims in fairly decent shape. The dealer wanted $4995 for it. Is this a fair price. I love my 99 T-Red/Greystone MTX SE Sport , which is almost up to 54k, but have CSVT envy. Is this worthwhile, or should I hold off until that Tropic Green/Prairie Tan 2000 CSVT with 22k miles shows up at my door with the owner telling me that he feels that I deserve the car more than he does? :-) Or should I just hold off until a later production CSVT with low miles comes along at the right price. I saw the car at the same dealer I bought my Contour at while I was doing some computer work for them. The joys of being in Tampa, Fl, where these cars seem to have the highest smile to purchase price ratio. Does anybody know why they seem to be going so cheaply? I paid $5000 for mine with 46k back in July.
