Shims will probably be needed for any LSD install. They put some solder on the LSD ends and bolt the case back together and then pull it apart. The thickness of the solder on each side tells them what shims if any that they need to use. They might need to grind down the LSD if its too long. Doesn't sound too hard but I got charged about $300 for it and I brought the transmission there in peices. They replaced the bearings and seals also.
