I recently purchased a new set of Bosch Platinum plugs for my '98 GL to replace the Motorcraft Platinum already in my engine. The problem is that I can't get them to thread. Autozone verified that I was given the correct part # (#4205). I spoke w/ a guy with SP Motorsports that told me I needed the Bosch Platinum +4's (#4458) and that I was given the wrong ones.
I was able to remove and re-install the old ones easily. Is the problem with the threads or do I have the wrong plugs? Are the +4's really worth $5 ea.?
