I suggest keeping the O/D on unless you are towing a trailer or heavy load. You may also want to disable the O/D if you are experiencing â??hunting". This is when the transmission is shifting in and out of O/D at a very noticeable rate (say every 5 or 10 seconds there is a shift). This rarely occurs, so I believe you would notice "hunting" when you feel it.

If you arenâ??t experiencing any of these, leave O/D on and forget all about it.
