I use mine about the same as mentioned above. I hate it when mine shifts into 4th at 35! I mean it is nice for saving gas and all, but... But when running the back roads, well that is a different story! I normally will enter with the O/D off so that my RPMs run a little higher which give better torque and a better sense of control. On long straight aways, I will hit the O/D switch whichs actually helps with acceleration down the long straight. When coming up to a corner I will turn the O/D back off, which allows for a nice firm downshift, just before I apply any brakes. This way I don't over brake. Anyway, since the revs are now back up and the engine is under a nice load from the down shift, it sets up for a perfect entrance into and out of the apex. Since it is a slushbox, you have to enter the gas pedal a little sooner then you think you should, but after you learn how your tranny works you will get the hang of it. If I enter into another long straight, I will start all over again. Now that is what I call ~FUN!~

We don't have the ST220, or all the sensors and gadgets that come with most Mondeos. I've heard of washer fluid level sensors, auto-aiming headlights, heated everything... Linky

I do this all the time.....but I don't turn off my O/D. That whole trip from Nashville to Huntsville I had it off.
