OK for some reason latley i have been thinking entirely too much about forced induction for my v6 atx. I went as far as building an electric turbo with a huge blower motor from a parts store...works good for $40 but at most 25hp....I was looking on ebay at superchargers because turbo seems a lot of work and money and i am not looking to race a whole lot just looking for a good solid gain.. I suspect that the supercharger kits now are driven off of the waterpump belt on the driver side of the engine and that they are not driven by a jack shaft. I was wondering can a normal centrifical supercharger(sn 93, i think) with the correct diameter and ribbed pulley with a custom made bracket and a custom burnt chip if that would work....reason i ask is that i can get the supercharger its self for like 300-400. I would eventually get a intercooler of some sort. I was also wondering using this type of supercharger where does the air come from...I figured that the battery and fuse box would be relocated along with w/e else could be.
Or i may have jus completley lost my mind.
any response negative or postive woudl be apreaciated...i am also expecting to here its just gonna be easier to buy the whole kit...but i dont have $4000 only $1000
