ya, ya. its really just the fact that I was disgraced at the dyno...

not! I just have higher priorities I need to focus on. I don't want to wait for any other possibilities of things going wrong. I don't have the money, time or patience to not have a car not running at all times right now.

again, still not sure, just testing the waters.

fyi, dropped it down to $15k obo in the classifieds...

we'll see.

I agree with Brapple to a point. For about 10,000 miles (from 24K to 36K) our Contour had many little problems due to it sitting before we bought it, but after that we've had minimal issues with it, and it's around 50K now, with no forseen issues besides mainenance. So once you get those things fixed they should not break again of course.

Since we're making offers here, I have a PGT with a different sort of mystery mod that I'd be willing to trade with anybody, lol!

Half the miles, twice the problems

that was the deal with the new tour we just got. three nails in different tires we kept finding and fixing and the DPFE sensor had to be replace. Other then that the car is great, we had to clean it alot but thats no big deal. My father even found SVT wheels and suggested getting them for the spring and ditching the tires on the car to get snow tires ( think that means someone is driving it this winter ) and i can use the other set of snow tires we have for the Mystique.

Proper maintenence and there shouldn't be any issues at all.

i know it'll suck but how about selling just the sc. car will still be bada$$. that should help w/ reliability too. not as much strain on the engine. guys r always lookin' for used sc's. drive it without the sc for a while. and if u wanna still sell, u should be able to even without the sc.

it's a tough car to sell, that's for sure.

no one knows what SVT means and when you explain it to them, they shrug their shoulders and say, "Yeah, but it's just a Contour, right?" or "So if it's so great, why'd they stop making them?"

Even with no mods, they are hard to sell without taking a HUGE loss...

btw....Mine in STILL on the market. 41,600 miles on a 1998...
