Hey, this is my first post! anways i go and pick up my 2000 SE contour tommorow! i paid 5500 for it and its has just under 23k in mileage so its still on manufacturer warranty! its in great condition except for a small "blemish" on the back passenger side door, i plan on making it go (of course, why else am i here) the KBB on it was like 8799 so i figure i did good, just wanted to introduce myself and see what you all thought 
Edit: i already been warned about the pump and the DMD and plan on doing that within the first 2weeks-month after i get it

Yep, sounds like a good deal alright. Congrats on the new car and enjoy, i've been enoying the $hit out of my 99 SE for almost 2 years now.

I received $7650 + tax for my 2000 SE Sport with 64,200 miles on it.  .... 
Add to your list of things to replace/change when you get it:
fuel filter
oil change
cabin air filter
airbox filter
Is it a Duratec(V6) or Zetec(4 cyl)?

v6 baby, i plan on putting some go into it, dont know what ill do first but i also want a SVT kit, since its got a small dent i want to just repaint the whole thing instead of one small panel, and since im doing that.. might as well get the kit, but if i cant find a svt kit ill settle for the razzi

sounds like a great deal to me. we just got a 99 SE Sport about a month and a half ago for 5200 with 52k
- 95 Mystique LS - Zetec/5spd
- 99 Contour SeVT Sport - Duratec/5spd

people keep saying that but i cant find a reliable source for SVT kits and there arent that many other options, atleast not that i can find

Welcome, another year 2000 SE V6 non-Sport memeber! These were fleet cars fitted with leftover 2.5 V6's. Before '00, almost all fleet Contours were four bangers.
