A quaife is a limited slip differential and it prevents spin by increasing traction by dividing the power to two wheels instead of sending it to just one.
Our stock differentials spin only one wheel and our cars make more than enough power to break loose - generate enough power to overcome starting and rolling friction.
The Quaife operates both tires at once therefore you can send more power to the wheels.
Also, the Quaife is considered nearly indestructible and is covered by the warranty in ANY FUNCTION A CAR CAN BE USED FOR INCLUDING RACING. It's guaranteed to be covered by warranty if it should break and by what I've seen it's not going to break.
The stock differentials have been known to break.
Therefore there are two reasons to get a Quaife:
increased traction
warranty.

It seems wheelhop is the death of transmissions, so from what ive read as long as you are cautious with feathering the clutch properly, you should be pretty well off.

How much do those Quaife's run and how hard to install?

Or how expensive? Thanks.

LSD's run around $550-600. Definitely a good deal.

However it's the labor that will kill you. ($1000+)

Book time is like 16hrs IIRC.
So 16 x even a cheap $50 shop rate (then you worry about the quality of the work!) is $800 for labor alone.
Using a "dealer" shop rate of 80-100 per hour makes it downright sickening.

I'm glad I can turn all my own wrenches...
