First off I see your in SE MI, come on out to one of our meets, like the one this weekend coming up
and introduce yourself. As far as oil filters go, I agree with Demon. This is one area not to skimp on and why would you. The price may be double for synthetic but who cares, you can leave it in longer which saves you money
Oil filters too, but they're usually 4x's the price of the "cheapies", $3.00 for the "cheapie" and $10-12.00 for the good ones, like Mobil 1 or K&N Gold. I've been using Mobil 1 almost exclusively since day one, although I've used Pure One once or twice though. BTW, the Wal-mart oil filter is probably made by some major manufacture, like Wix or Baldwin for example
