How/where should I run my N2O Line. I don't want it outside of the car and I am trying to go down the driverside doorline, where in the firewall can I come out it looks like other stuff is coming in through that side. (Search NAZI's.. I did search but found minimal info on this subj. I am trying to run the lines for everything today)

i dont know about you, but the local track up here requires nitrous line to be ran outside, along with an on/off switch on the outside rear of the car if you relocate battery to the trunk.

Hrm.. wouldn't it be more dangerous outside of the car? A good scrape through an n2o line with some spark from the SS line and it could be oops time that line stays pressurized all the time while you have the bottle open :\

Not to mention where are you going to mount it outside of the car? I didn't relocate the battery to the trunk.

I ended up going under the wiper cowl and through the rubber piece that is there to keep the leaks out. It run smooth to the left of the clutch pedal no where in the way and all the way down my drivers side under the door paneling up the right and in the trunk. It's invisible in the car and not existing to the outside elements and such.

Why would they rule you to have the n2o line outside of the car?

Because if any of that happens IN the car we've got a cripsy driver. Besides, do you have a stock stereo? If not where's all your wires running? See what I mean?

So where would I run it outside of the car?..

I haven't seen anything on this on the forum that I can find.. :\

Plus I don't remeber anything about anyone drilling a hole in their trunk to run the lines out then around the underneath of the car where stuff can happen to the line.

Do my stereo line pose a threat to a safely sealed SS line as opposed to a line outside of the car? If it were to catchfire underneath the car would it not also result in a crispy driver (not that it is flammable there would have to be a fire for the compressed gas to get to more than likely to happen outside of the car than in the doorwell on the inside protected by metal from the outside I would think :|

I'm looking to find out what people known to be running it have done in their case with the dry kit.

I'm also digging up articles on others install and so far I am 50/50 on inside and outside installs

("Quote from HotRod Mag Install on a C5 Vette";

"The Vette Doctors route the harness, as well as the braided steel nitrous hose, from the rear area where the bottle is mounted toward the front of the car along the passenger side, completely hiding it beneath the carâ??s plastic trim panels.")

Yet another guy with an RX7 ran his ZEX kit outside.

I mean are there really issues with running it inside I can reroute it if so, the RX7 guy ran his with his SS brake cables down the line and put them with them which is protected.

What I had planned on doing is running the n2o wires for the venom kit through the same hole, both would have heatshrink on the n2o line and on the cables keeping them seperate, then a big piece of heatshrink over both of them, a rubber grommet where I cut the hole sealed with silicon then, fill the hole with silicon to seal the wires and such in but not touching the wires just the heatshrink.

Since I am running it under the wiper cowl you can see down there I was going to heatshrink the whole wire area until it comes to the engine and seal it in the existing grommet I cut out the center of.

You will have to see pics to see what Im blabbering about

PICS to kind of explain my process...

Pic1

Pic2

Pic3

I checked all the way down there were no open wires there, I don't have a power amp or anything running down that side either.

There are no sharp places or bends where the line is run as well. I dunno I've found more and more people with other cars doing it this way than the other. I will keep looking though and feel free to give me any helpful info on where I could locate it outside..

Thanks

I'd have to look at them when I get home - proxy settings won't allow me to see them for some reason.

Man.. as FYI it seems the interior running is whooping the outside car line running.. even the Install that Venom has on their site Yeah I know.. it is an Accord :P
says they ran it through the firewall with the AMP wire too :X

I was kinda digging to see what Trapps or VenomSVT had done with theirs since we got the same car and they ran the lines.. or even if you have installed it where did you run it. (not being discrimenatory (SP?), those just seem to be the most popular two forum wise that have installed this kit.
