How do you suggest fitting componets in the doors. It's difficult to fish one wire through there but two looks like a pain. Is there a place in the door to secure a x-over?

in a contouruse 5and a quarter componets and go to any stereo shop and pick up a 5 by 7 plate with 5 and a quarter cut out when you install speakers in the door make sure they are sealed this gives you most mid bass as possible as for the tweeter there is enough room to flush them in the factory door grill it is real easy to do and looks really custom there is a spot in the arm rest to mount a crossover as long as it is not tooo big if it is mount it on the inside of thedoor

How much are those 5x7 plate adapters? If I am not mistaken its a speaker manufacturer that supplys them as an option for mounting the speakers. I'm not sure who... but it's not Infinity or I would have them. I think I may just squeeze some infinity Kappa 3-way 6x9's in the doors for the best possible sound. still comtimplating

metra makes the adapter rings they are around 10 to 15 dollars depends on where you go as far as the 6 by 9s dont even try to put them in the front door you wont have the clearence for the window but you could put them in the back doors most of the time nobody uses those windows it would sound really good and give you a lot of mid bass

what kind of conponets did you get they should of came with a pre-built crossover but if you have a capacator all they do is go in line of the positive wire im guessing they are probley for the tweeters the only problem with using thet kind of crossover is that you lose clarity and volume i would suggesst going around to some stereo shop and see if any installers has any laying in there tool box that they would sell thats your best bet

the best and cheapest bet for stoping your trunk and back deck from making a racket is to get windshild calking it works really well in trunks you just stuff it in the crack in the trunk supports and if you look hard enough you can find it in 4 inch strips
