ok heres the story. My car has been hesitating alot... the engine light came on, so i changed the fuel filter. Perfect... could finally hit the gas and not stutter . this was about 2-3 weeks ago. My car started to heistate and stutter again ( this is when i accelerate from a stop) and today my engine light came on. The maf is clean the plugs are new and i am at a loss. I am not engine wise so i figured maybe some one here has encountered this problem and may have some suggestions . oh ya i also put midgrade in so it would help the injectors keep a little clean ( yes i also used that cleaner in a bottle crap) thanks for any help and idea guys !!!

Sparkplug wires? coiil? dunno just a few ideas. When I as having that trouble my air filter was dirty as hell also.

Get the code pulled (autozone) and then come back to us.

Ok, I hope you guys remember that up 'ere in dem parts, we don't gots no Autozone to pull dem "codes" for free. Unless we got 'e, sources (personal mechanic friend) So no pulling codes, it must be illegal

Then buy a code puller,, well that or just keep blindly replacing stuff in hopes of fixing the problem.

I had the same problem. I changed the plug wires and that was it. Problem solved.

I replaced, got autolite DP's and Megnecor wire and experience no hesitation, when warm. I get the jitters from bad engine or tranny mounts, but don't know which to remove.

would the wires being bad cause the engine light to come on ?
