I believe you are right. Sirius also has the market on many of the new car manufacturers. Lastly, Sirius will be commercial free with their music channels while XM will have commercials but far less than FM radio. I think that I would go with a Sirius receiver (the new Kenwood's will use Sirius) over XM. They have 3 Satelites over XM's two. I would most likely wait for the standard so you can receive both XM and Sirius (appx 2 years)
