thought I'd post an update.

looks like the winner is..... bad O2 sensor.

Put new sensor in this evening, the same short highway loop that got me 3 or 4 CEL's the other day didn't light it up after a new sensor. Car's running stronger too.

Ya. Just wanna add my two cents.
I've had the same code, CEL was coming and going at hiway speeds, and this thread really helped me to deside to spent some $100 on new sensor. I did and never regret - CEL is not coming animore and car runs solid as never before. Totaly worth the mone and effort.
Althou car was hesistating before, after I changed the sensor it was realy worsen. I desided to change wires and plugs, bought both Motocraft ones. A little expensive but worth it - car is running like a bird now!
