I admit I am not familiar with there models, but ask them if they have a dvc, should I use just one coil and will it hurt the woofer if I do. It wont kill your woofer today, but 3 months from now when you are posting "Hey my dvc woofer with one coil hooked up died today" maybe you will remember what I said...
I never said I would actually use a single coild hooked up, I'd be cheating myself out of 6dB for a 5 cent piece of wire because my amp can drive 4 ohms.
Using one coil would be like running a mile while breathing through a straw. Can you do it, (I cant) but most likely YES, will you die sooner YES. It is possible, we agree there, but IT will shorten a woofers life. If anyone doubts it Contact their woofer maunfacture....I don't think you can argue their rsponse.
I don't think that's wuite the sam analogy, as it pertains to life expectancy. Limiting your input power (oxygen) reduces your peak performance only. Actual exercising in life tends to lengthen one's life expenctancy.
